About Us

Circle of Life Aging Services employs licensed social workers to provide senior care coordination, consulting, education and training. All our social workers have experience and expertise working with older adults. Our social workers:

• Know how to navigate "the system."
• Provide "service with a smile."
• Are professional, yet easy-going and pleasant to work with.
• Are passionate about geriatric social work!

Circle of Life Aging Services, LLC is owned by Gretchen Scheffel, MSW, LISW. Originally started by Gretchen and fellow social worker Deb Seaberg, Circle of Life Aging Services has been growing and is the parent company of TempSocialWork.com, an agency providing temporary and contracted social workers to various health care settings, such as nursing homes, hospitals, home care and assisted living facilities.

Experience
My passion is for working with our elders. I feel strongly that the older people in our society should be respected and cared for in manner that considers their intelligence and independence. I think Geriatric Social Workers can help assure this happens in a variety of settings: home, assisted living facilities and nursing homes.

I worked in the field of dietetics for 5 years before beginning my career in social work. I have been employed by hospitals, nursing homes, and county and state government. Most of my work has been with seniors. I can navigate through "the system" and am well-connected.

I love to learn and help others learn too! I have presented education sessions to groups all over Minnesota, including multiple times at the national American Society on Aging conference. I gain knowledge from audiences every time I speak!

Through Circle of Life Aging Services and TempSocialWork.com, I feel the service provided is top notch!. I am also thrilled to be part of a network of professionals in the aging field who are passionate about high quality service. Customer Service is a high priority for me and the employees of the company.
