Experiential Learning Workshops
The intended audience for these sessions are volunteers or professionals working with older adults.
The following sessions are designed to give the participant a feel for what it is like to be involved in the experience. Upon arrival to the workshop, participants will receive an assigned role in the experience (i.e., patient, doctor, nurse, family member, etc.). They will be expected to play the role as described. After the role play, there will be discussion and take-home strategies to help deal better with the real thing when it happens.
